最近在youku上，一系列有关SpeedPainting的视频吸引了我，它使用Photoshop快速作画，并配以动感音乐来呈现作品。欣赏这种创作的快感，来自于绘画创作过程中屏幕配合动感节奏的的快速切换给人的眼花缭乱，在整体和细节两方面色彩光影的高超把握，以及速度感。

我看到的这些视频作品，主要来自Nico Di Mattia之手，他是阿根廷人，83年出生，其官方网站是www.nicodimattia.com，他的作品都发布在youtube上，官方网站内的作品是youtube的引用链接。拜伟大的防火墙所赐，我们除非翻墙否则不能访问。万幸有人把youtobe上的视频转到youku，tudou等国内视频网站，我们才能见到这么炫的作品。

Nico在网站上给出的Speed Painting的定义：

Obviously, there are many definitions of this kind of art, but actually on the Internet, Speed Paintings are known as a time-lapse video featuring the construction of an image. It is primarily a digital art form whereby the image is hand-drawn and rendered using a tablet and graphics editor such as Photoshop or Painter. Whilst the image is in production, every single action on the computer screen is automatically captured and compiled into a real-time video. That recording, which begins with a blank background and ends with the completed piece, then undergoes an editing process. The video is accelerated, components are added or removed and it is also given an appropriate soundtrack. The finished SpeedPainting, which may have taken the artist more than five hours altogether, will usually last little more than three and a half minutes.

大意是：速度绘画是一段记录绘画过程的视频，是一种使用数字画板配合Photoshop或Painter进行图画手绘和渲染的数字艺术形式。作画时电脑屏幕上的所有动作都被捕捉到视频里，记录了从白版到完成构形和之后的编辑过程。最后视频被加速处理，并配以合适的音乐。完成的SpeedPainting作品通常只有３分半钟多一点，可实际上总共却要花掉作者５个多小时的时间。简单的说，速度绘画是绘画的实际过程。

在Nico的F&Q中，他介绍说他使用一台至少2G内存并配有好显卡的电脑，软件是Photoshop CS，屏幕捕捉软件Camtasia，视频编辑软件Premiere CS。数字画板推荐 Genius MousePen 8×6。有人认为“视频加速过的绘画”更适合他的作品名称而非“速度绘画”，而Nico解释说这里的速度不代表绘画的速度，而指的是欣赏的速度。
